I was born in Atlanta, Georgia. I came out of the womb, grabbed a shovel, and I haven’t quit working since. I grew up in North and South Carolina, as well as Georgia. I started working (mowing grass in the neighborhood) at the age of 7. I know what you’re thinking: lazy kid, why’d you start so late? Hey, I was a late bloomer. At any rate, I learned the value of hard work. AdamsGeorgiaDad I was a drum major in my high school band (yes, I’m a band geek) and graduated as valedictorian of my class, back when it was okay to have only one valedictorian. I graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University with a degree in ornamental horticulture.

I own a landscape company in Whitefish, Scapes Inc.

I’m recently married to my lovely wife Camie, and I have three sons.

I have volunteered in various activities and organizations including serving on Whitefish City Council, with two years as deputy mayor, also serving on the Parks Board, the Bike and Pedestrian Path Committee, and many years as the city’s negotiator for acquisition of bike paths. I served on the board of Cross Currents Christian School (now Whitefish Christian Academy), choir director at the First Baptist Church, Whitefish youth soccer coach, Cub Scouts leader, Glacier Country Pachyderm board, and I currently serve on the Flathead County Libraries board of trustees.
